We just saw former Chair of the U. S. Civil Rights Commission Mary Frances Berry on CNN and we were ashamed of her. You see, she and David Gergen were asked by host Anderson Cooper to give their views on the Geraldine Ferraro mess. Berry said she didn't think Obama should have responded to Ferraro's criticism unless his campaign has decided it is going to answer these types of comments. Why wouldn't he answer them?
